In short: Fast File Manager has no ads, no analytics, no account and no internet permission. Your files and everything the app remembers stay on your TV. We, Vertex Studio, receive nothing.

What the App Does

Fast File Manager ("the App") is a file manager for Android TV and Google TV. It lets you browse, open, copy, move, rename, delete, compress and extract files on your TV's internal storage and on USB drives or external hard disks connected to it.

Information We Collect

None. The App does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share any personal information. It does not include advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software, and it does not request the internet permission, so it cannot send data anywhere.

Information Stored on Your TV

To work, the App keeps a small amount of information only on your TV:

Your settings (theme, view, sort order, hidden files, confirmations).
Favourite and recently opened folders, and the last folder you were in.
The list of transfers in the current session, and a note of an unfinished transfer if the App closes during one, so it can tell you and clean up.
How many times the App has been opened and your answer to the "rate this app" prompt, so it doesn't ask too often.

The App reads file names, sizes, dates and contents only to show, open, copy, move, compress or extract them at your request, and to make thumbnails of photos and videos on screen. None of this leaves your TV.

Device Permissions

All files access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): needed to manage files and folders anywhere on shared storage and on connected drives, which is the App's core purpose. You grant it in Android settings and can turn it off at any time. Android keeps app-private folders such as Android/data protected; the App does not access them.

Diagnostics Export

If you choose Settings > Export diagnostics, the App saves a text file to your TV's Download folder with the App and Android version, TV model, storage types and free space, and how this session's operations went. It contains no file names, folder paths or file contents. The App never sends it; you decide whether to share it with us.

Opening Files and Links

When you open a file, Android passes it to another app installed on your TV that you choose (for example a video player); that app's own privacy policy applies. "Rate on Google Play", privacy policy and terms links open the Google Play Store or a browser app if your TV has one.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell or rent any data, because we do not receive any.

Delete Your Data

Everything the App stores is on your TV. To delete it, uninstall the App, or go to Android Settings > Apps > Fast File Manager > Storage > Clear data. Your own files are never deleted by uninstalling the App. We hold no copy of anything, so there is nothing to request from us.

Security

File operations run on your TV only. Copies are verified before they count, and moves remove the original only after a verified copy. ZIP entries that would write outside the destination folder are refused.

Audience

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

If a future version adds a feature that uses the network (for example sending files from your phone over Wi-Fi), we will update this policy before releasing it and change the "Last updated" date above.
